Liberty & Global Sustainability Seminar

Students on the University of California, Berkeley Campus

Why are some countries rich while others remain poor?  Are markets and human prosperity really at odds with the environment?

From the ecosystem to the economic system, public discussion has become focused on sustainable solutions.  Many proposals aim to guide our society toward sustainability based on what we know.  Less discussed, however, is the process that naturally moves our society toward sustainability based on what we don't know.

Take a closer look through the lens of liberty at sustainability in a global economy rich with culture, innovation, and entrepreneurship.  Explore the dynamics of development, disease, customs, and corruption, as we challenge conventional wisdom on world trade and environmental stewardship and explore decentralized solutions.
